Stage Brief

Yesterday’s cruise on the InterIslander should have you berthed in Wellington at 6:30 pm. The night is yours to meet and stay with friends or check-in at your Hotel/Motel. Tour crew will be staying at the Brentwood Hotel at Kilbirnie, they will offer good rates for the Tour riders. For the criterium, you will start groups with riders of similar pace, and there will be just 3 laps of the short circuit that starts on the steps of The New Zealand Parliament. Each lap is just 800 metres long. The fast teams/individuals will ride more laps (maximum 6) Allan Scott Wine/or a big box of Roses Chocolates will be awarded to winners. Race over and now head into the famous Grand Hall at 11:00 am in Parliament for the prize-giving, and the acknowledgement of podium prize winners and the spot prizes draw and to hug yourself for completing the 6th Tour of New Zealand. Don’t miss it! You will be free to head home at 12:30 pm.
